The calendar is an open resource for all, run on a volunteer basis by screendance practitioners for the benefit of the field of screendance.
It was originated by Simon Fildes, and current custodians Clare Schweitzer (US), Michelle Bernier (US) and Gitta Wigro (UK).
If you are interested in volunteering, we would love to hear from you, especially if you are from outside the anglophone world! Email us at screendancecalendar(@)gmail.com.
Thank you to previous volunteers Andrew Chapman (US) and Abi Bais (AR).

The calendar supports a broad definition of screendance while maintaining a focus on activity which specifically addresses the intersection of screen and choreographic thinking. In different regions, this might be referred to, or overlap with artists’ moving image, choreocinema, cinecoreografía, cinedans, choreo-cinema, dancefilm, danceforcamera, experimental film, screendance, sinemadans, videoart, videodança, videodance, videodanse, videodanza, and other terms.

The calendar is hosted by a number of websites, such as the Centre for Screendance, Sans Souci Festival of Dance Cinema, kNOwBOX Dance, and others. If you know an organisation that would be a good place to host the calendar please do get in touch at screendancecalendar(@)gmail.com.
